there were two things i was certain of when i got engaged
the guy i was going to marry
and that there would be mason jars at my wedding
lots of them
everything else seemed to fall into place
around all the mason jars of course
...and then came baby...

let's get baked: clam bake for your rehearsal dinner or wedding

clam bake on the beach. clam bake in the park. clam bake in your backyard.

it doesn't matter where you throw one, clam bakes are where it's at!

...that is if you like lobster, corn & potatoes : )

we threw a clam bake alongside a river in connecticut for our rehearsal dinner last summer. we had chicken & vegetarian options for all those that weren't fans of sea creatures. though regardless of their main course choice, everyone felt compelled to wear a bib.

growing up in new england, lobster epitomized summer for me. i wanted to incorporate it into our wedding weekend one way or another & was so happy when my hubby's family was into it too!

there's something so great about getting down & dirty while you eat. people laugh, help each other out & get to know each other...all with corn kernels stuck in their teeth!

we didn't go too wild with decorating, favors & such for the rehearsal dinner, BUT if we had, i'm loving the lobster inspiration from raina dawn events.

any helpful tips for throwing a clam bake for a rehearsal dinner or wedding?
