come hell or high water, i wanted an outdoor wedding.
"well, what if it rains?" everyone asked.
"if it rains, it won't be that bad." i'd reply. and usually followed with a, "and don't worry, it won't."

well, it did.
luckily it was just a shower at the end of the evening & was quite refreshing at that point. july in new england could use a little cooling down.

our ceremony was en plein air & the only "back-up" we had would've had us crammed under a covered veranda. and it just wouldn't have been the same without the serene river in the background.
as for the reception, we had a tent. and that was our only plan. thankfully the rain waited until the reception & was just a sprinkle.
i love the rain & secretly wanted a few drops on our day. plus, you know what they say...
